Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani says the police have become more concerned at the rate of cyber crime than ever before in the country’s history.
Ms. Libongani told Qfm in an interview that the police are working hard to protect the society from crime of any nature.
Ms. Libongani notes that as a service, the police are intensifying their investigations in terms of the reported cases of cyber crime in the country.
Ms. Libongani has further disclosed that the police are also building the capacity of the officers by sending them to attend various courses both local and abroad in order for them to fight cyber crime more effectively.
The Inspector General of Police has also urged members of the public to report any suspicious cases of cyber crime so that the police can promptly institute investigations and bring the culprits to book.
