The Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child has targeted to circumcise Forty Five thousand Zambian Men in four weeks during this year’s August campaign on male circumcision.

National Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Coordinator Albert Kaonga says the Ministry has a target of Circumcising 80 percent of HIV negative males by the end of 2015.

Dr.Kaonga explains that three hundred and forty thousand new HIV infections will be prevented once the targeted number for circumcision is achieved.

He says the campaign is progressing well so far with a good number of people turning up to be circumcised.

Dr. Kaonga has since urged all men who are yet to take a step into the circumcision room to do so, so as to help work towards a health free Zambia
