Govt. commended for extending PVC vaccine to Namwala

Namwala 28^th May 2013, ZANIS  —  Namwala District Commissioner Gevar Nsanzya has commended government for extending its efforts to roll out the vaccine for Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PVC) to the district.

 

The District Commissioner was speaking in Namwala District at an orientation for Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PVC) and measles second dose vaccine new vaccine orientation for heads of government departments held at Namwala youth friendly centre yesterday 27^th May 2013.

 

Mr. Nsanzya said that the government attaches great concern to the provision of quality health care among the people of Zambia hence its commitments to provide quality health care.

 

And Namwala District Community Medical officer Dr. Davy Kaile said that the vaccine is already in the district and that health workers have already been oriented in various centres throughout the district.

 

Dr.Kaile added that communities in the district have also started receiving the vaccine through the district.
