The Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) has attributed the continued cases of sexual abuse involving some unscrupulous Pastors in the country to hunger for wealth.

ICOZ Board Chairperson, Bishop David Masupa has told QFM News in an interview that most of the Pastors involved in such activities are not genuine men of God.

Bishop Masupa states that some people want to use the name of God to gain wealth for themselves forgetting that they will be accountable to God for misleading people.

He adds that genuine Pastors cannot think of denting the Body of Christ in such a manner.

Bishop Masupa states that the conduct of a Kitwe based Bishop from Holy Fire Ministries arrested for allegedly having sex with nine young girls from his church shows that he is not a genuine Pastor.

Meanwhile, Presence of God Ministries International Senior Pastor, Apostle Christopher Kunda says people should be aware of false prophets, stating that the Holy Bible is clear that in the last days there will be false prophets.

Apostle Kunda says there is no doubt that such people who take advantage of the people they are supposed to lead do not represent Christ.
