Lusaka District Patriotic Front Youths have implored party and republican President Michael Sata to swiftly act on the petition by members for Party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba to resign or be fired.

Addressing a media Briefing during the reopening of the district offices, Lusaka district acting Vice Chairperson Julius Komaki said Mr Kabimba has lost his legitimacy and the respect from party members from all the ten provinces that have passed a vote of no confidence in him.

Mr Komaki has since stated that protests against Mr. Kabimba will continue as long as he remains Secretary General of the ruling party.

Mr Komaki who was recently badly injured in intraparty violence which left one PF cadre dead has further stated that they will not be cowed by the violent group in the party.

He has since urged youths to desist from being used as tools of violence.

Meanwhile, PF Lusaka District Vice Secretary Benja Siwila has warned that the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) to stay away from the intraparty wrangles in the ruling party.

He says the UPND should not take advantage of the confusion in the ruling party as it does not concern them.
