Dr Scott starts off the Kuomboka with the Litunga

–Vice President Guy Scott this morning joined hundreds of Mongu residents and tourists in celebrating the famous Kuomboka ceremony.

Vice President Scott who was clad in Lozi traditional attire left Mongu town to the Litunga’s Lealui Palace accompanied by his wife Charlotte Scott, Western Province Minister
Obvious Mwaliteta and Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba and, arrived at Lealui
shortly after ten hours.

Dr Scott then processed to the Kings palace for closed door talks before proceeding with the Litunga to board the royal barge, “the Nalikwanda”.

By Press time the Vice President and the Litunga were heading to Kazulu island.

Dr Scott will disembark from the Nalikwanda at Kazulu and go back to Mongu where he will later in the day proceed to Limulunga royal village in limulunga district in good time to receive and welcome the Litunga at Nayuma royal habour.

The royal barge is expected to dock at Nayuma habour around17:00 hours in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Mongu residents and tourists were part of the crowd that saw off the King and the Vice President to Kazulu for a stopover.

Later in the day the Vice President is expected to grace this year’s Ku omboka ceremony of the Lozi people of Western province.
