Father appears in court for defiling sick daughter at UTH

A 44-year old man who allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of his sixteen old biological daughter today appeared in the Lusaka Magistrate court for explanation of the charge.

Rodgers Mayavu of Shibuyunyi in Kabwe is on 29thJanuary, 2015 believed to have had carnal knowledge of his daughter whilst she was undergoing treatment at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).

According to the victim, the father defiled her whenever he took her to the bathroom.

Magistrate Sylvia Munyinya has since indicated that she is waiting for instructions from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution on how to proceed because the case involves a minor involved.

She has since adjourned the matter to 3rd March, 2015 for mention.
