Kaingu pledges to address bursaries issue

Education Minister Michael Kaingu says his first task will be to try and resolve the issue of bursaries at higher learning institutions.

Dr. Kaingu says her believes all people should have access to education if the country is to move forward.

He says he is a good listener and that he will embrace all suggestions coming from stakeholders on how best the ministry can deal with the issue of bursaries.

He has pledged to ensure that deserving candidates are awarded bursaries on merit.

Dr Kaingu adds that he is humbled that President Edgar Lungu has given him a chance to help in the development and expansion of the education sector.
