HH attends Pilato’s court appearance

Pilato detained at Kenneth Kaunda airport

We attended a court session involving Artist Chama Fumba also known as Pilato at the Magistrate court in Lusaka. We were with the Vice President Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.

The satirical musician has been granted bail by magistrate Mikalile after carefully considering the circumstances that led to him missing court. Ms Mikalile also reminded the responsibility for the state to ensure that citizens are safe.

At the same time we are aware of the challenges the state institutions charged with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the citizens are facing. And our support of the professional men and women in those institutions is unwavering.

We await the outcome of this trial of the colleagues who have staked it to ensure that there is an explanation to the procurement of the those fire tenders. We take this opportunity to invite all well meaning Zambians to take interest in this and many other cases.
