Two Manyinga primary schools upgraded
Solwezi, Feb 11, 2015, ZANIS–Government has released K900,000 for
upgrading Kashinakazhi and Chongo North primary schools in Manyinga district of the North Western province to secondary level.

Manyinga District Commissioner Queen Manela said the money is for
the construction of two  one by  three classroom blocks, two ventilated improved
pit (VIP) toilets and two teachers houses.

Ms Manela said this when North Western province minister Dawson
Kafwaya called on her during his familiarization tour of the province
inspecting developmental projects.

She however lamented that Manyinga being a newly created district has
a critical shortage of both residential and office accommodation
exposing departments to exploitative rentals for houses.

Mr Manela nevertheless added that most contractors selected to
construct various structures such as district administration blocks
and staff houses have already moved on site.

Mr Kafwaya who inspected the projects implored officers entrusted to
supervise the works to seriously monitor the progress so that proper
structures that will be appreciated by the people are erected.
