Returning Officer, Peter Mulenga, announced the results at Luampa
Constituency Totalling Centre today at 7:40hours.

And Luampa District Electoral Officer, Henry Siwakwi, described the
elections in Luampa as free and fair.

"We did not experience any form of violence in Luampa and I commend
all political parties for keeping peace during campaigns and I hope
they will accept the outcome of this election," Mr Siwakwi said.

However, Mr Siwakwi noted that Luampa Constituency has a lot of
challenges in terms of communication and road network.

He said most of the polling stations are in far-flung areas and there
is no communication network, adding that roads are in a bad state.

The voter turn up was low and a check by ZANIS in polling stations revealed that people started voting around 06:00 hours but were disturbed by heavy
rains experienced throughout Luampa District.
