The Independent Churches of Zambia (ICOZ) has vowed to continue working with other relevant stakeholders in championing for the enactment of the new Republican constitution.
ICOZ Board Chairperson, Bishop David Masupa, has told QFM News in an interview that the church will not sit idle and watch the constitution making process fail.

Bishop Masupa has also expressed disappointment at remarks made by Republican Vice President Dr. Guy Scott that good governance cannot be derived from the new constitution, stating that such a statement amounts to disrespecting the people of Zambia.

He notes that unless the Judiciary, the Executive and the Legislature have well defined roles enshrined in the constitution, there can never be good governance in the country.

Bishop Masupa states that Dr. Scott is misleading Zambians by saying the new constitution will not address the issues of poverty, unemployment and education.
