Calm returns to Kasumbalesa border

The Zambia Police Service has dismissed reports suggesting that another Truck driver has been killed at Kasumbalesa Boarder Post.

Police Public Relations Officer, Charity Munganga Chanda has since warned people spreading such false reports to desist from alarming the nation.

Mrs. Chanda notes that the situation at Kasumbalesa Boarder Post is back to normal, and that traffic is flowing normally.

Meanwhile Mrs. Chanda says former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba will appear for questioning this afternoon at Woodland Police Station.

Mrs.Chanda has since warned cadres from accompanying Mr. Mwamba stating that he not been summoned as Member of Parliament but as Director of Arizona Marketing and Distributors.

She says Police expect Mr Mwamba to be accompanied only by his lawyers when appears for questioning at 14:00 hours.

Mrs Chanda adds that Mr. Mwamba’s wife Chama Mwamba and her daughter Thandiwe will also appear for questioning tomorrow, Tuesday at 09:00 hours.
