Mr Kambwili has for this reason directed the NYDC to come up with a strategic plan which would be launched before the end of March next year.
Mr Kambwili said the strategic plan would clearly show the road map for job creation for youths and hence the need for them to acquaint themselves with the council.
The Minister said this during a Roan Constituency Conference at Masaiti High School in Masaiti District at the weekend.
He said the strategic plan would show youths the innovative ways that Government was using to address the socio-economic problems that youths faced in the country.
“A week ago, I directed the NYDC to create structures in all the provinces in order for our youths to easily access the benefits of the council across the country,” he said.
He, however, urged the NYDC and the Sports council to acquint itself with the culture of action and directed that application forms for youth empowerment funds be distributed to the youths.
He said Government was committed in creating jobs for the youths and that his ministry would soon finalise a job creation strategy which would be launched by President Michael Sata soon.
Mr Kambwili also urged the youths to come up with viable projects which would enable them access empowerment funds from Government.
