Good morning fellow citizens, in our quest to develop all the sports disciplines, and attain sport as a tool for sustainable social and economic development in our country.We have continued our engagements with key stakeholders in the ministry of sports as yesterday, 11 November 2021, we were honored with courtesy calls by the delegations from the National Olympic Committee of Zambia Board and Volleyball Association of Zambia at our office in Lusaka.

During our two meetings, we were highlighted on the status quo of both the National Olympic Committee of Zambia Board and Volleyball Association of Zambia.

In our remarks, we expressed happiness to note that the National Olympic Committee of Zambia Board is fully functional with the desired competencies to deliver the expectations of our sportspersons.In addition, we affirmed our full commitment to the development of all the sports disciplines including Volleyball in the country as a sport is an integral social sector that plays a big role in the social-economic area of the country.

We further informed the National Olympic Committee of Zambia Board and Volleyball Association of Zambia that our government advocates for good governance in all spheres including sport.And that our sports policy acknowledges, recognizes, and builds upon several previous national and international policies, which signifies the desire of Zambia to develop and implement progressive policies.

We also assured the two stakeholders of our government commitment to invest in infrastructure the country to easy and scale up on talent identification through the establishment of leagues in many Districts; for the under 12 to 15 as well as academies, promotion of sports tournaments, and community competitions for our young people as it is a good foundation where we can figure teams to feed into the National Leagues and National teams.
