Just as reconciliation was seemingly taking root in the ruling Patriotic Front following unsuccessful attempts to hound out party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba, seven PF constituency chairpersons in Lusaka have reignited calls for Kabimba to be removed for brewing confusion in the party.

The seven constituencies chairperson led by Lusaka Central Constituency Chairman, Chikutano Nkhoma accompanied by several PF members, stormed QFM Radio this afternoon demanding that President Michael Sata immediately removes Mr. Kabimba as PF Secretary General and Chumbwe as provincial chairman.

Mr. Nkhoma says President Sata had earlier given a directive to the provincial committee to hold the District Conference but that Mr Chumbwe has defied the directive and has instead unconstitutionally attempted to install himself as Lusaka District Chairman.

Mr.Chikutano has noted that ignoring President Sata’s directives is what has resulted in wrangles in the ruling party not being resolved.

He says it therefore right that Mr. Kabimba and Mr. Chumbwe leave the party as their services are not needed.

Mr Nkhoma has since appealed to the Provincial Executive to quickly adhere to President Sata’s directive and hold the district conference.

And PF Acting Youth Chairman, Julius Komaki, says Mr. Kabimba’s poor judgment and poor management of party affairs has led to divisions in the party.

Mr. Komaki says Mr. Kabimba does not have the blessings of the PF youths in Lusaka because he has betrayed them in so many areas.

He says Mr. Kabimba is not needed in the party because he is just misleading party members and bringing divisions in the ruling party.

The constituency chairmen demanding Mr Kabimba’s removal are Paul Mukuka for Kabwata,Chanda Chilufya Kanyama constituency,Captain Davison Mulenga for Chawama,Morgan Ngona for Matero,Joseph Tamba Mandevu and Forbes Mufywaya for Munali constituency.
