Kapiri man kills wife, self

A TWENTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD man of Kapiri Mposhi has committed suicide after he murdered his 19-year-old wife.
According to Police, Silva Ngosa killed Bertha Kunda of Mpula area in Kapiri Mposhi who sustained a swollen face leading to her death.
Ms Kunda left behind a two-week-old baby and another two-year-old son.
Deputy Central province Police chief Edwin Bwanga confirmed the incident and said the man after killing the wife, decided to also take his life by taking some poisonous substance.
Mr Bwanga said in an interview yesterday that after beating his wife, Ngosa later took poison and that the bodies were found next to each other.
The bodies were taken to Kapiri Mposhi District Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Fists and kicks were suspected to have been used to beat his wife.
Police recovered the empty bottle believed to have contained the poison.
Meanwhile , investigations  surrounding the  killing of a 23-year-old man believed to be a student at the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) in Lusaka who was abducted by unknown people in Kabwe have intensified.
