CHIEF APPEALS FOR AMBULANCE

Lundazi, May 21, 2013,ZANIS– A traditional ruler in the malambo valley of Lundazi district has appealed to government to allocate an ambulance to be stationed at Chitungulu Rural Health Centre.

Chief Chitungulu complained to ZANIS in Lundazi recently that there was need for government to give malambo valley an ambulance to be centrally located.

He said if the ambulance was stationed at Chitungulu health centre, it would be able to service surrounding chiefdoms such as chiefs Chitungulu, Kazembe, Mwanya and Nabwalya across Luangwa river in Mpika district in the new Muchinga Province.

A traditional ruler observed that currently it was difficult to transfer patients to the district hospital for further medical attention due to lack of appropriate transport as many referred patients die on the way.

And Chief Chitungulu observed that there is need for mobile phone towers in the area to ease communication difficulties and enhance tourism.
