–Southern Province Minister, Daniel Munkombwe, says he has not gone into the Patriotic Front (PF) party to take over leadership but rather to reinforce it.

And Mr Munkombwe says the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) will soon become extinct because of clinging to ethnic politics.

He was speaking at Banakaila area of Monze when he addressed Patriotic Front (PF) officials of Bweengwa Constituency.

He said officials who are not committed to the ideals of the PF will find it hard to operate because he wants committed leaders who will ensure that the PF emerges a strong party in the Southern Province

Mr Munkombwe said he is happy so far to note that political heavy weights in Bweengwa Constituency have joined the ruling party.

And Mr Munkombwe has described regional political opposition being practiced by the UPND as annoying because it is overburdening the people in the province.

He said he will not allow politics of opposition to stagnate the province.

PF officials in Bweengwa Constituency informed Mr Munkombwe that the UPND in the area has started cracking.

UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema, hails from Bweengwa Constituency and Mr Munkombwe addressed meetings near the opposition leader’s home area.
