New DCs take up their positions in Western province

President Michael Sata has appointed Eight District Commissioners for the new districts created in Western Province in January this year.

The Commissioners were appointed with effect from 12th February, 2013 and released today.

This was disclosed by Provincial Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba during a Provincial Heads Management meeting held in the Provincial Conference hall.

Mr Mwamba ordered all the District Commissioners appointed to report to their Districts immediately.

He disclosed that Mr Tembi Simbula will be going to Luampa, Mr Mutomena Mutomena to Sioma, Mr Kufuka Kufuka, Sikongo and Mr Ndombo Litambo, Limulunga.

Others are Mr Yuvwenu Kashandola, Nkeyema, Mr Teddy Chimbinde, Mitete,  Mrs Akufuna Chabi for Mwandi and Mr Mundia Samwene for Mulobezi district respectively.

The Permanent Secretary gave an assurance to the incoming District Commissioners of his unwavering support as they report to the new districts.    

And Mr Mwamba noted that the more districts the province has the more support it will receive in terms of infrastructure development.

Western province has 16 districts in addition to the nine which already existed.
