Electoral expert McDonald Chipenzi has charged that in Zambia, leaders do not get elected to serve the people but to serve themselves.
Mr. Chipenzi says even the way some parliamentarians debate I parliament, one can tell that they want to attract attention for appointments and not to serve the people.
He says if the country wants economic recovery and not economic destruction, those in leadership should do the right things.
Mr. Chipenzi says if the country has to recover economically; the country should reduce on expenditure and should not introduce new things but wait until the economy flourishes.
He adds that the current economic status at the moment is worrying and the electorates are depending on parliament not to allow certain things to go through that will impact negatively on the economy.
