Fr Bwalya accuses Police of unprofessionalism

Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Father Frank Bwalya has described as unprofessional for the Police to chose to reveal reasons for summoning the party’s candidate in the Katuba parliamentary by-election Patricia Mwashingwele to the media and not to the person being summoned.

Father Bwalya has told Qfm News in an interview that there is need for the Police to be fair and transparent in the manner they handle certain issues.

He explains that when the Mrs. Mwashingwele received the summon, it did not indicate the reasons for her summoning.

Father Bwalya has wondered why the Police chose to give reasons for her summoning to selected media houses.

The ABZ leader however stated that nothing will stop Mrs Mwashingwele from campaigning hard ahead of the 25th February Katuba by-election.

He adds that the ABZ candidate is a law abiding citizen and cannot fail to comply with the Police.

Yesterday Lusaka province Police Commissioner Lemmy Kajoba disclosed Mrs Mwashingwele is being probed for having issued a cheque on an insufficiently funded account in a land purchase deal.
