The Electoral Commission of Zambia(ECZ) has engaged ruling Patriotic Front (PF) over the letter the opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD)wrote to it to complain over alleged early campaigns ahead of the February 28 Katuba by-election.

ECZ senior public relations officer Sylvia Bwalya says the commission is also considering the latest letter the MMD wrote to complain about alleged early campaigns by the ruling PF ahead of the Kasenengwa Parliamentary by-election.

Ms. Bwalya has also clarified that the other complained the MMD made over alleged use of government vehicles by the vice president Guy Scott in Katuba to campaign does not amount to any irregularity as the vice president is allowed by law to campaign using government vehicles.

Meanwhile Ms. Bwalya has disclosed to Qfm news that ballot papers for the Katuba Parliamentary by-election will arrived in the country on Monday the 10th of February.

She says all political parties taking part in the by-election and the media are invited to be present at the Lusaka international airport at 14:00hrs when the ballots arrive via an Emirate cargo plane.
