Zesco installs pre-paid metres in Mungwi

–Zesco has started installing pre-paid meters on various houses in Mungwi.

This is in a bid to connect clients to the fibre network system that will enable them buy electricity tariffs through a pre-paid system.

So far a total of 108 houses have been installed with pre-paid meters out of the target of 930.

And residents have welcomed the move by the Zesco to install pre-paid metres on their houses.

The residents have told ZANIS that they will now enjoy easy and efficient services from the cooperation following the connection of pre-paid meters.

They said the facility is convenient and will avoid long queues experienced previously.

Currently, Zesco tariffs can be purchased via mobile phones using banking facilities such as Xapit offered by Zanaco.
