MASKED suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres are allegedly terrorising and beating upPatriotic Front (PF) sympathisers in Mazabuka’s Nega Nega.
One of the victims, a woman, was stripped naked because she was in PF attire.
The systematic alleged attacks by the masked suspected UPND cadres came to light when Ministry of Home Affairs permanent secretary Chileshe Mulenga made an impromptu visit to the area on Monday to ascertain the security situation following reports of sporadic cases of political violence.
Dr Mulenga urged police to apply the law firmly and fairly so that the August 11 general elections are credible, free, fair and devoid of intimidation.READ MORE
