MMD rules out short cuts to convention

The opposition MMD has ruled out the use of short cuts to hold its long awaited national convention.
MMD party spokes person Raphael Nakachinda says his party is committed to ensuring that procedure as outlined by the MMD constitution is followed.

Mr. Nakachinda says the process is leading up to the convention is ongoing and that once it is completed the party leadership will announce the date for the convention.
He says the former ruling party anticipates holding its convention in a peaceful and dignified manner.
Mr. Nakachinda says as his party wants to sustain transparency and fairness.
