President Lungu mourns aide’s mother

PRESIDENT Lungu yesterday joined hundreds of mourners at Kamwala’s Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ) at the funeral service of his senior private secretary Daniel Siwo’s mother, Beatrice Shonga.
President Lungu was accompanied by former President Rupiah Banda, his special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda and Minister of Agriculture Given Lubinda.

Others who attended the funeral service are former State House analyst for press and public relations David Kombe, State House officials and PF members .
And RCZ head of reform and communication Edwin Zulu said Mrs Shonga will be remembered as a Christian who united the family and played a pivotal role at church.
Rev Dr Zulu also said Mrs Shonga should be remembered as a mother and unifier.
