Simbao sworn-in as Transport Minister

President Edgar Lungu has appointed and sworn-in Senga Hill Member of Parliament, Kapembwa Simbao as Transport and Communications Minister.

And President Lungu has implored Ministers to work extra hard and deliver development to the people who voted them into power.

The President was speaking on Thursday when he swore-in Greyford Monde as Livestock and Fisheries Minister and Stephen Kampyongo as Local Government and Housing Minister.

And Lawrence Sichalwe has been swore-in as deputy Minister in the Vice President’s Office.

Meanwhile, President Lungu said he is confident of scooping the 2016 Presidential elections and wants all Ministers and other PF Members of Parliament to listen and work closely with the people on the ground.

The President said he is aware of some Party members who want to buy their adoptions but warned that they will not be adopted if they do not have the support of the people.

And commenting on his appointment, Livestock and Fisheries Minister, Greyford Monde said he will work towards transforming the Livestock sector into a viable industry.

Local Government and Housing Minister, Stephen Kampyongo said he will ensure that Councils perform to optimum levels.

And Deputy Minister in the Vice President’s Office, Lawrence Sichalwe said he will work closely with Vice President, Inonge Wina in delivering services to the people.
