ROAN United on Sunday brightened their chances of bouncing back to the Super Division after beating Copperbelt Buffaloes in a Division One (North) Week 28 match at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.
Striker Lyson Sikaonga put the hosts ahead but Joseph Bukama restored parity before Danny Shikapanji ensured maximum points for the John Lungu tutored side.
Victory pushed Roan to third position on 49 points, six behind leaders Lumwana Radiants, who drew 1-1 against Ndola United and four adrift second-placed Kalulushi Modern Stars.
Kalulushi also battled to a 1-all draw against Chindwin Sentries at Independence Stadium in Kalulushi.
Mufulira Blackpool kept the promotion chase alive after beating Gomes at Ndola Wanderers Club.
Gomes’ George Chisala made a false start but Joseph Chewe levelled before Innocent Mwansa got the clincher in the 88th minute.
Blackpool are fourth with 49 points.

Kabwe Warriors maintained a 14-point lead at the summit of Division One (South) despite battling to a barren draw with Mumbwa Medics in a Week 28 match on Saturday, ROBINSON KUNDA reports.
Second-placed Lusaka Tigers could not take advantage of Warriors dropping points as they battled to a 1-1 draw with Prison Leopards.
