Zambia head coach George Lwandamina promised his team would do everything in their power to beat Kenya in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Chipolopolo travel to Nairobi to take on the Harambee Stars after drawing the opening game of the group phase against Guinea-Bissau.

Lwandamina is fully aware of the pressure on his side to qualify for the continental showpiece and said they would not underestimate Kenya, despite them being considered one of the weaker teams in Group E.

“We would be underrating Kenya at our own peril; they are a good side who draw one-all with Congo away. That is not the team you can afford to underrate,” Lwandamina told The Post.

“A team is made based on training. There is no one guaranteed of a place, unless they work hard. We need total commitment in training,” he warned his squad.

“We know the expectations of every Zambian, we are working hard and will do our best to deliver the desired results,” Lwandamina concluded.

  1. Serious!! Instead of kenya being worried? Is this a joke or what? If zambia draws or losses to kenya then the coach shud be shown the exit door and also the technical bench shud also be looked at.
