A 19-YEAR-OLD grade nine pupil of Chingola has died on the spot after a tree he was cutting for charcoal production fell on him.
Copperbelt commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said in an interview yesterday that Steward Kalubulo died at Ngosa on the Chingola-Solwezi road on Monday when he was cutting a tree with his friend.

 

And in another incident one person has died, while two other passengers have sustained injuries in a road traffic accident on the Great North Road, Muchinga Province police commissioner Auxensio Daka has said.
Mr Daka said in an interview that the incident occurred around 04:00 hours yesterday near Zambia village when the driver, Bernard Mwansa, 36, of Chilenje in Lusaka who was driving a Toyota Corolla, registration number BAA 1889, with three passengers on board, suffered a tyre burst and the vehicle overturned.
