——-Community Development Mother and Child Health Deputy Minister, Obvious Chisala, says government is happy with the development projects that were initiated by Kapembwa Simbao in Senga Hills Constituency.

Mr Chisala, who is on a campaign trail in the area, asked the people of Senga Hills to vote for Mr Simbao, saying he is a capable leader with potential to deliver development to the people.

He was speaking when he addressed public meetings at Chomba, Nsokolo, Nsenga Hills Market and Kaka in the constituency.

Mr Chisala appealed to local people not to be swayed by the opposition, saying government was committed to resolve all the major challenges they were facing in health, education and infrastructure among other sectors.

He said he was happy with the massive support the   PF was enjoying in Senga Hill Constituency and Mbala district.

Earlier, Mwiluzi Ward Councillor, Nonde Sikazwe, said the PF was intact and confident of scooping the coming by-election in Senga Hills.

Mr Sikazwe appealed to the UPND candidate, Giles Yambayamba, to pull out of the race to save himself from the embarrassment of losing the seat.

Mr Chisala also took time to visit Rural Health Centres and health posts to establish the challenges the health institutions were facing.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set April 15, 2015 as the day for the Senga Hills Parliamentary by-election.

The seat fell vacant following the nullification by the Supreme Court of Mr Simbao as the duly elected MP.
