THE RULING PATRIOTIC FRONT-PF HAS SUFFERED A MAJOR POLITICAL SETBACK IN NORTHERN PROVINCE.

This follows yesterday’s resignation and defection of several party officials and members to opposition United Party for National Development-UPND at a press conference held at Kasama’s Nellas Lodge.

The defectors who included Kasama Municipal Council Deputy Mayor Chibeka Mutale, Kasama’s Mulilansolo-Ward Councillor Abraham Mulenga, Mpulungu’s Tanganyika ward councillor Sunday Sitima, and some district officials from Mungwi, Mbala, Luwingu, cited undemocratic tendencies in the ruling PF.

They alleged that since the demise of PF founder President Michael Sata, loyal members like them have been side-lined in preference of non-members.
