North PF call for reconciliation

Kasama, December 9th, 2014, ZANIS —–   The ruling PF in Northern Province has called for reconciliation among its warring factions.

Provincial secretary Evarist Chellah says there was need for unity and harmony in the ruling party ahead of the January 20, 2015 Presidential By-elections and beyond.

Mr. Chellah called on factions and PF leaders in particular to bury their differences, saying the party was bigger than any single individual.

ZANIS reports that the ruling party Provincial Secretary made the call in a walk in interview in Kasama today.

He said time had come for leaders to stop the bickering and stand out as a united front if the party was to win the January, 20 presidential by-election.

Mr. Chellah said leaders must reconcile and rally behind one candidate to safeguard the party from total collapse.

The PF has in the recent past been embroiled in factions and power struggle following the untimely death of the country’s Fifth Republican President, Michael Sata.
