The Zango Youth Consortium has described the late President Michael Sata as a master politician and a true and loyal son of Zambia.
Consortium chairperson Kayimbo Katengo said the late President Sata was a father to many young Zambians and a comrade to many.
In a statement availed to ZANIS in Lusaka today, Mr. Katengo said the late President was a leader who was greatly respected.
He said the late President Sata will be fondly remembered for his publicly professed love and care towards the youth of Zambia.
Meanwhile, Mr. Katengo said the youth consortium was pleased with the impressive out-pour by members of the public in celebrating the life of the departed President.
He noted that now was the time to put aside all political differences and urged all citizens to offer full support to the government so as to fulfill what President Sata desired to achieve.
And Mr. Katengo has congratulated the acting President Guy Scott on his decision to reinstate Edgar Lungu as the secretary general of the Patriotic Front (PF).
He added that the development certainly honours and respects the wishes of the late President.
Earlier this week, Dr. Scott had fired Mr. Lungu from his position and later reinstated him.
And Mr. Katengo has further urged PF leadership to refrain from intra-party fights which he described as treason to the memory of President Sata and the good standing of their party.
President Sata died on Tuesday last week in London where he was receiving medical treatment.
