Bishop John Mambo has condemned the continued harassment and intimidation of opposition leaders and civil activists by suspected Patriotic Front cadres.

Bishop Mambo laments that the Zambia Police Service is also undermining Zambia’s democratic process and the multiparty credentials.

Bishop Mambo has told QFM News in a telephone interview that acts of violence by suspected PF cadres are uncalled and cannot be condoned by any peace loving Zambian.

He calls on government to bring to an end acts of political violence involving cadres, stating that if left unchecked such acts will have a long term effect on the future generation.

Bishop Mambo has further challenged all political parties in the country to control their cadres in order to bring sanity to the political; arena.

He reminds politicians that there are no political enemies in politics hence the need for them to co-exist.

And speaking in a separate interview, Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza has questioned why each time there is an attack on opposition political party members Police have to first carryout investigations before the culprits can be affected.

Reverend Mwanza has also wondered why Police in Ndola allowed weapon wielding political thugs to besiege a radio station without swinging into action.
