Three people died on the spot while eight others sustained injuries after the Toyota Glanvia Registration No. ALL 6212 in which they were traveling overturned after a tyre burst along Kasama-Mpika Road.
The accident occurred yesterday 13th January at around 11:30 hours.
Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga-Chanda has told Qfm in statement that the deceased have been identified as Chizongo Kelvin aged 19 and two juveniles aged between 10 and 13 while the driver of the said vehicle identified as Francis Mwila aged 22 is among the injured.
Ms. Chanda says among those injured include two juveniles aged between three and fourteen.
She adds that all the eight injured are admitted to Kasama General Hospital while the bodies of the deceased are lying in the same Hospital’s Mortuary awaiting Postmortem.
