President Michael Sata has arrived in Luangwa district where he has gone to drum up support for the PF candidate Patrick Ngoma in Feira parliamentary election slated for June 20, 2013.

The President arrived to a thunderous welcome by hundreds of PF cadres led by the provincial and district party officials.

The president who is accompanied by Cosmo Mumba and his Press Aid George Chellah is expected to address three political rallies within the constituency.

Meanwhile a big crowd of Luangwa residents are gathered at the main ground opposite the market awaiting the president’s address.

The residents who are clad in PF party regalia are chanting and singing party slogans.

Feira seat fell vacant after Mr Ngoma of the MMD ditched the former ruling party to join the PF on whose ticket he has re-contested the seat.

Mr Ngoma is being challenged by candidates from the opposition UPND, MMD, NAREP and the country’s oldest political party, UNIP.

President Sata is expected to fly back to Lusaka immediately after concluding his business.
