Works on Livingstone market, bus terminus progressing
 
Livingstone, April 3/13 ZANIS———The Livingstone City Council has revealed that 95 per cent of works have been completed at Town Centre Market construction site popularly known as Zimbabwe Market.

Livingstone City Council Director of Engineering, Benny Chiyesu, said construction of the site office and the hoarding area had been completed while pouring of the concrete for the foundation would commence this week.

In an interview with ZANIS in Livingstone today, Mr Chiyesu revealed that water had been connected at the site whereas soil testing, drawing and architectural works had also been completed.

“If people want to view the model of the new Town Centre Market they can do so at the site for the market,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr Chiyesu has stated that works for construction of the Inter-City Bus Terminus were progressing well at Villa Grounds.

The Director of Engineering said the site office had been put in place and the marking was done while foundation excavations would commence later this week.

However, Mr Chiyesu said only 20 per cent of works have been done on construction and rehabilitation of roads in Livingstone with the first layer having been laid out on Botswana road.
