Kasama Girls are NAZ champions

——– Kasama Girls High School in Northern Province is 2013 Netball Association of Zambia (NAZ) Champions for Girls.

 

Northern and Muchinga Sports Coordinator, John Nkunika, has disclosed the development I an interview with ZANIS in Kasama.

 Mr Nkunika said Netball Association of Zambia conducted its national tournament on March 20, 2013, at National Sports Development Center (NASDEC) in Lusaka.

 

Mr Nkunika said there were five categories in the tournament and Kasama Girls Secondary School became this year’s champions in Girls Category while Kasama selected and Chongwe emerged Boys tops as both scored equal points.

 

He revealed that in Regulars Category, Green Buffaloes emerged Champions while in Madalas, Maina Soko became winners whereas in Men’s Sector, Vision Stars got top position.

 

Mr Nkunika also said in both Boys and Girls, Northern emerged champions and commended Northern Provincial Administration for supporting the teams with logistics.

 

He urged members of the public to join in sporting activities which are beneficial to their bodies as active bodies are resistant to diseases.

 

The Sports Coordinator said sports promote good health hence all members are encouraged to join in sports activities.

 

A total of 36 teams participated in the tournament from the ten provinces sponsored by the department of sports and Provincial Administrations.
