Mwamba urges women to pray without ceasing

Mongu, March 2ND, 2013, ZANIS — Western Province Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba says prayers are greatly needed looking at the economical and spiritual state in the country.

And Mr. Mwamba has appealed to women in the Province to take a stand in reporting cases that affect their families and communities to relevant authorities as they are part of solutions in them.

Mr. Mwamba has urged women in the Province to be more prayerful if they are to break bondages affecting the nation.

ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary said this during the commemoration of the annual International World Day of Prayer in Mongu district held at African Methodist Episcopal Church yesterday ahead of the International women’s day falling on every March 8th of the year.

He said as people commemorate the World day of Prayer, women in particular should remember to pray for guidance to their fellow women especially those in high offices of the country.

Earlier, Provincial Chairlady of World Day of Prayer pastor Josephine Mukampaila urged women to be united in love in order to achieve a one common goal of Christianity.

World Day of Prayer is being commemorated under the theme: “I was a stranger, you welcomed me”.
