All is set for the Miss Unity Zambia Beauty Pangent slated for Lusaka’s News Café on Saturday at 19:00 hours.
Pink Diamonds Chief executive officer Sphiwe Benasho said the aim of the beauty contest is to raise awareness on the importance of voting.
Ms Benasho said the event will enable the electorates understand the election process further stating that people will have a chance to learn about candidates and their promises, voting procedures on the day of voting as well as the role of Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ ) .
She said voters need assurance regarding free and fair elections as they play a role during this transition period by promoting political stability.
Ms Benasho said good citizens should exercise their rights to vote in order to elect an individual of their choice into power.
15 models will battle it out during the competition and they are expected to give powerful speeches on the importance of voting as well as free and fair elections.
Artists such as Roberto, T-sean, Future 101, Richy Bizzy and Bomshell will spice up the event.
