Speaking when he delivered his keynote speech at the on going inter-governmental meeting with the officials from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the development of hydro power sites on the Luapula River, Mr. Yaluma appealed to the delegates to work together for the benefit of the two countries.
Mr. Yaluma notes that there is also need to extend the strategy to the Congo River and Zimbabwe as it will benefit more people.
Mr. Yaluma has also expressed gratitude to the democratic republic of Congo for supporting Zambia’s future initiatives.
And speaking at the same meeting DRC representative Thadee Nkumbi says his government attaches great importance to the project.
Mr. Nkumbi notes that this is especially that DRC shares a lot of things with the Zambian government which are crucial to benefiting both countries’ economies.
He has further noted the need to keep with the fighting spirit to improve the energy sector by doing the best by developing the hydro power sites.
