Kwacha remains relatively unchanged

The Zambian Kwacha has remained relatively unchanged for most of yesterday’s trading session which was characterized by thin trades.

Cavmont market report for Monday obtained by ZANIS in Lusaka today disclosed that the local unit traded in the range of K6.145 and K6.165 per one United States dollar.

The report stated that the dollar on the other hand has continued to perform better in comparison to major currencies.

And the commercial bank’s aggregate current account balance decreased by K65.75 million to K973.93 million while the cost for interbank borrowing and lending stood at 14.12 percent.

The report further revealed that funds traded on interbank were K295.90 million.
