Chief Government Spokesperson, Mwansa Kapeya, has been challenged to go ahead and name politicians whom he has accused of funding some CSOs to cause on the country’s new constitution.

Mr. Kapeya has accused some opposition political parties of funding CSOs to champion calls for the release of the final draft constitution and portray a bad image that government has failed to produce the constitution.

United Party for National Development (UPND) Vice President for Politics, Dr. Canisius Banda, has told QFM News in an interview that the PF government wants to paint a good picture of themselves and accuse the opposition of hijacking the final document when in the actual sense they have failed to deliver.

Dr. Banda has since dared Mr. Kapeya to go ahead and give the nation full details and name the specific political parties funding CSOs to fun confusion on constitution.

Speaking in a separate interview, MMD Presidential Spokesperson, Muhabi Lungu, says the Information Minister is shifting the attention to the opposition political parties forgetting that the Zambian people are still waiting for the release of document.

Mr. Lungu says the people of Zambia are not interested in his accusations but what to be given what rightfully belongs to them.

And Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) Spokesperson, Antonio Mwanza, says the PF government is embarrassing itself for failing to fulfill its duties as a government in power.

Mr. Mwanza says the PF should concentrate on delivering instead of attacking the opposition over its failures to deliver a people driven constitution.
