Civil Servants urged to be role models of development

Sioma ,  January 2014, ZANIS —  SIOMA District Commissioner Mubiana Mutomena has urged the new Public Service Workers to be good role models of development.

 

Mr. Mutomena says  public service workers  in the District  should conduct themselves professionally  as  role models for development in the area.

 

He added that public service workers should set good examples to the community.

 

ZANIS reports that the Sioma District Commissioner said this when he addressed the newly employed public service workers in the area.

 

Mr. Mutomena also called upon the workers to have a good working culture and not be lazy towards their work.

 

He said the Administration Office will not sit back and watch people do nothing.

 

Mr. Mutomena said government is spending a lot of money to pay its officers so the workers have to work hard.

 

He  challenged the workers to be reporting on time for their duties and urged them not to be absenting themselves from work.

 

Speaking at the same meeting District Administrative Officer Charlton Mukelabai urged the newly employed workers to work hand in hand with the community as they are the people they will be serving.

Mr. Mukelabai also urged the officers to in a manner that is appropriate as the work they are doing is of great importance.
