The Black Stars made a donation to the Kumasi Children’s Home upon their arrival in the Ashanti Regional capital for the deciding World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

The team led by captain Asamoah Gyan donated bags of rice, gallons of oil, cartons of milk, toiletries and other items to the home on their way to their camping base on Wednesday.

Midfielder Michael Essien assisted Asamoah Gyan in doing the presentation which was witnessed by several enthusiastic supporters.

The arrival of the Black Stars in Kumasi has created massive excitement amongst soccer fans in the city with many striving just to catch a glimpse of the players.

The team however with serious intrusion by the excited soccer fans managed to do the presentation before leaving for their camping base at the Golden Tulip Hotel.

Ghana will be hosting Zambia in the deciding 2014 World Cup Group D qualifier on Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
