Livingstone youth in court for unlawful wounding

—- Livingstone Magistrate Chola Musonda has remanded Joe Lubinda Makai for the unlawful wounding contrary to chapter 82 of the laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence are that on dates between March 14 and 15th 2013, Makai did unlawfully wound Joseph Musoka in Kazungula District of Southern Province.

Makai 23, unemployed of Kazungula, upon being asked by the court if he understood the charge leveled against him of which he accepted.

When asked by the magistrate if Joseph allowed him to harm, Makai responded in the negative.

The defendant blamed Joseph for causing him the sickness he is experiencing at the moment.

The Courted entered a plea of guilty into the records and that he would appear again in court next on March 26 and will remain in custody.

And in another case where Majita Muyambango 26, of Dambwa North is facing the charge of corruption by public officer.

Muyambango Assistant Registration officer in the national registration office pleaded not guilty to the offence.

Particulars of the offence were that on dates unknown but in November last year Muyambango being a public officer did receive K R 300  as an inducement from Humphrey Junza to process a National Registration card.

The court entered a plea of not guilty and he will appear in court for mention on April 202013 and trial will commence on June 4, 2013.
