A Civic leader in Mporokoso has appealed to government to construct teacher’s houses at Kapatu Secondary School to accommodate teachers who are currently swatting in surrounding villages.
Speaking in a telephone interview with ZANIS in Mporokoso, Patriotic Front (PF) Nchelenje Ward Councillor Oscar Chipembele said teachers require accommodation in order to provide quality services to pupils.

And Mr. Chipembele has raised concern with the use of primary school infrastructure at the secondary school.

He said there was need for government to build a secondary school because the situation has created inadequate classroom accommodation.

He further said that the school has no electricity and pupils find it difficult to study in the evening a situation which he said may affect their academic performance.

The Councillor has however commended government for rehabilitating the Kasama-Mporokoso road to bituminous standard.

Mr Chipembele pointed out that the road is an important link between the two districts as it will also steer development in the area.
