Chinese national impounded for driving a Government vehicle

Government Transport Control Unity has impounded more than 10 government registered vehicles for failure to comply with government driving regulations.

Minster of Works and Supply Felix Mutati says the exercise is aimed at clamping down on abuse of government vehicles.

Mr. Mutati says driving of government vehicles over the weekend requires necessary documentation to avoid lawlessness.

He is however pleased with the high level of compliance from government workers.

Mr. Mutati said the number of vehicles being impounded has drastically reduced from the time the exercise started.

The Minister was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News after mounting checkpoint on Kafue and Great East Roads in Chongwe.
